Delete Your Merchant Account: "Taqset Merchant"

Taqset Merchant app is a fintech platform developed and published by Mypcot Infotech Pvt Ltd. Merchants and Service Providers may request deactivation of their merchant account directly through the Taqset Merchant Application at any time, subject to the completion of any pending financial, settlement, or contractual obligations.

 

How to Delete (Deactivate) Your Merchant Account

To deactivate your merchant account:

  1. Open the Taqset Merchant App or Merchant Portal.
  2. Navigate to Profile.
  3. Tap on Delete Account.
  4. Review the account deactivation information.
  5. Confirm your request.

Alternatively, merchants may contact the support team to request account deactivation.

Account Deletion (Deactivation) Behavior

Upon successful confirmation:

  • Your merchant account will be marked as inactive.
  • Your business profile and services will no longer be visible to customers on the platform.
  • New bookings and payment transactions will be disabled.
  • Access to the Taqset Merchant Application and Merchant Portal will be revoked.
  • Existing transaction records, bookings, settlement information, and support tickets will remain available to authorized administrators for compliance and operational purposes.

Please note that account deactivation may not be completed until all pending settlements, disputes, refunds, or contractual obligations have been resolved.

Data Handling Policy (Soft Deletion)

When a merchant account is deleted:

  • The account is soft deleted and marked as inactive
  • The account is soft deleted and marked as inactive within our systems.
  • Merchant profile information, service listings, and branch visibility are removed from customer-facing areas of the platform.
  • Historical transaction records, booking records, settlement history, and support communications are retained securely.
  • Merchant data is no longer used for active business operations once the account is deactivated.

Data Retention & Usage

We retain certain merchant information for the following purposes:

  • Compliance with applicable financial, taxation, and regulatory requirements.
  • Settlement reconciliation and financial auditing.
  • Fraud prevention, risk management, and security monitoring.
  • Resolution of disputes, chargebacks, claims, or customer complaints.
  • Enforcement of contractual agreements and platform policies.
  • Internal record-keeping and business continuity requirements.

We ensure that retained information is:

  • Stored securely using industry-standard safeguards.
  • Accessible only to authorized personnel.
  • Protected against unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse.
  • Not displayed publicly after account deactivation.

Outstanding Financial Obligations

Customers using BNPL services must settle all outstanding obligations before account closure can be finalized.

This includes:

  • Pending instalment payments.
  • Late payment fees, where applicable.
  • Outstanding transaction balances.
  • Active disputes requiring resolution.

The platform reserves the right to retain account information until such obligations are fulfilled.

Optional Permanent Data Deletion Request

If you would like your personal information to be permanently deleted, you may submit a request by contacting us directly.

Permanent deletion requests will be reviewed and processed in accordance with:

  • Applicable laws and regulations.
  • Financial record retention requirements.
  • Fraud prevention obligations.
  • Audit and taxation requirements.
  • Contractual obligations related to BNPL services.

Where legally permissible, eligible data will be permanently deleted or anonymized.
